INSUL-TEK®
250 Steel
Factory preinsulated steel pipe intended for use on
systems ranging in temperature from
-3500 F to 2500 F.
The specified type of steel pipe is insulated with the
most energy efficient insulation available today, isocyanate
polyurethane foam.
The outer protective casing is generally Polyvinyl Chloride
(PVC), High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), or Fiberglass
Reinforced Plastic (FRP). However, other optional casings
are available, including coal-tar urethane-coated steel
and spiral-wound lockseam galvanized steel and aluminum.

INSUL-TEK®
250 FRP
Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) pipe insulated
with polyurethane foam intended for use on systems up
to 250° F.
We can insulate any type of FRP pipe, including Ameron
Bonstrand, A.O. Smith, and Fibercast, depending on the
application and the customer's requirements.
The outer protective casing is generally PVC, HDPE,
or FRP, however, other optional casings are available.
The system is normally utilized on condensate return
lines, chilled water lines, process piping, and hot
water systems.

INSUL-TEK®
250 Copper
Type "K" or "L" copper, factory
insulated with isocyanate polyurethane foam. This system
is intended for use on systems below and above ground
ranging in temperatures from -350° F to 250°
F.
The outer protective casing is normally PVC or HDPE;
however, other optional casings are available. Typical
applications for this type of system include liquid
nitrogen piping, C02 piping, chilled water, hot water,
and process piping.

ground use.
This system is commonly utilized on chilled water lines,
brine lines, and sewage and process piping.

Ductile Iron
Ductile Iron pipe of the specified class and type is
factory insulated with the most thermally efficient
polyurethane foam insulation.
The outer protective casings for buried service are
PVC, HDPE, or FRP. Spiral-wound lockseam galvanized
steel and aluminum casings are commonly utilized on
above ground installations, including bridge crossings.
This system is ideal for use on chilled water lines
and potable water lines.

400 HT Composite
System
Preinsulated steel piping for use on below and above
ground systems with operating temperatures up to 400°
F. This system utilizes the most energy efficient high
temperature composite insulation consisting of hi-temp
cellular glass/polyurethane foam or calcium silicate/polyurethane
foam.
The standard outer protective casings are HDPE, FRP,
or spiral-weld 10 gauge steel with a hybrid Urethane
coating or a Fusion Bonded Epoxy Coating.
This system arrives on the job site as a totally prefabricated,
pre-engineered turnkey system.

INSUL-TEK® FRP Clad HT Steel Conduit
A dryable, drainable, air-testable system intended for use on high temperature applications with service temperatures over 250° F. The INSUL-TEK® HT Steel Conduit system features a 10 gauge spiral welded steel conduit casing with 100 mils of FRP Cladding filament wound directly onto the steel conduit.
The carrier pipe can be of any grade or type commercially available. Mineral wool or calcium silicate insulation is generally utilized in this system. Foamglas is also available.

HT Steel Conduit
A dryable, drainable, air-testable system intended
for use on high temperature applications with service
temperatures over 400° F. The INSUL-TEK® HT
Steel Conduit system features a 10 gauge spiral welded
steel conduit casing with a 30 mil thick coating of
durable corrosion-resistant hybrid urethane.
The carrier pipe can be of any grade or type commercially
available. Mineral wool or calcium silicate insulation
is generally utilized in this system.
Options available with the INSUL-TEK® HT Steel
Conduit System include multiple pipe systems, cathodic
protection systems, leak detection systems, and heat
trace systems.

Containment Systems
Preinsulated Piping Systems, Inc. offers a wide range
of prefabricated and pre-engineered ENVIRO-TEK®
containment piping systems. Each system is custom designed
and engineered to meet the specific requirements of
the customer.
The carrier pipe can be of any grade and type commercially
available, including, but not limited to: PVC, CPVC,
fiberglass, steel, stainless steel, copper, polypropylene,
and HDPE.
The standard containment casings are PVC, FRP, and
coal-tar urethane-coated steel; however, other optional
casings are available, including HDPE, epoxy-coated
steel, and stainless steel. We offer multiple pipe systems,
insulated systems, heat traced systems, and systems
with leak detection.
